Poem by: Florian Nick

Alone we strive for that feeling,
for that one moment, when we make the rules.
We never listened to the echoes and moans
of those scared to live, afraid to fall.

Instead we opened wide our eyes,
to light the darkness within,
staring into the distance to discover,
places never seen.

Not a finger pointing at you,
not a person telling you what to do.
Why are you even doing this?

This life has grown from our freedom,
our own conviction.
It’s that spirit, our hope and resilience,
that melts away our fears and makes us who we are.

We take on the challenge,
and fight through the elements.
Feeling the presence of pain and life,
we sharpen our senses and strengthen our drive.

Despite all the excuses, the legions of spears,
despite those voices only we can hear.
Beyond our range but within our reach,
we keep on moving to the echo of our breath.

We wander through the ages,
through the lands of our devotion,
chasing dreams, rising fast,
carving a path between the dust and the ashes of our past.

This force, this moment,
this world all our own.
